The reveal of Persona 6 stood out as one of the biggest moments of the Xbox Games Showcase, yet plenty of fans quickly spotted a clear shortcoming. The first trailer gave away almost nothing concrete—no actual gameplay footage, almost no story details, and zero mention of a release window.

That silence immediately sparked worries that the next mainline entry in the long-running jRPG series might still be years away. A well-known insider with strong ties to Atlus and SEGA has now weighed in on the matter.
The person in question is the leaker known as lolilolailo, who has spent several years sharing reliable information about SEGA projects. His track record of accurately calling announcements and game details has earned him solid credibility among fans. After the Persona 6 trailer dropped, people asked him whether a 2027 launch was still on the table. His reply was brief but telling:

“I wouldn’t read too much into the lack of any 2027 mention in the trailer, especially with Persona 4 Revival coming out first.”

That single comment was enough to lift spirits in the community. Many players take it as a hint that Atlus deliberately left the release window out so it wouldn’t pull focus away from Persona 4 Revival, the upcoming remake of the beloved fourth game. The approach makes a lot of sense. The studio has a history of carefully spacing out its biggest marketing pushes.
