The Blood of Dawnwalker – The Night Belongs to Monsters
The Blood of Dawnwalker takes us into a dark world where vampires aren’t romantic pretty boys with emotional problems. Here, someone is far more likely to drink your blood before you even get the chance to ask about their tragic backstory.
You play as Coen, a man transformed into a Dawnwalker — a being caught somewhere between human and vampire. This dual nature is one of the game’s most interesting ideas. During the day, Coen relies on his human abilities, while the night unlocks far more brutal supernatural powers.
Time and player choice also play an important role. You can’t experience everything in a single playthrough, meaning the quests you choose and the way you approach them can have real consequences. The world won’t politely wait for you to clear every marker on the map.
Combat is dynamic, the atmosphere is appropriately grim, and medieval Europe is presented as the kind of place where even without vampires you probably wouldn’t book a holiday.
The Blood of Dawnwalker stands out thanks to its take on vampirism, player freedom and dark atmosphere.
Because sometimes the biggest problem isn’t the monster hiding in the darkness.
Sometimes it’s you.
