Review of Another Eden Begins: Time Travel and Zero Survival Instinct

I started Another Eden Begins expecting a cute little RPG adventure, and somehow I ended up emotionally invested in saving the entire timeline. Again. Apparently, having a normal day is not an option in this game.

The story throws you into the past, present, and future, and honestly, I loved it. The world feels mysterious, the characters are charming, and there were several moments when I caught myself thinking, “Okay… I definitely should NOT touch that.” Naturally, I touched it.

The command battles are probably my favorite part. You actually have to think about your team, skills, positioning, and timing instead of just smashing the same button until something dies. When everything works perfectly, I feel like a tactical genius. When it doesn't… well, let's just say my strategy sometimes consists of staring at the screen and hoping the problem solves itself.

The characters are another big plus. I quickly found myself getting attached to them, which is slightly inconvenient when the game decides to throw emotional damage at me. I came here for an RPG, not a personal attack on my feelings, thank you very much.

Visually, the game has a lovely atmosphere, and the whole time-travel theme gives it plenty of room for interesting locations and situations. There is always something new to discover, and I really enjoyed that feeling of not knowing what kind of trouble I'm going to get myself into next.

Is it perfect? No. But it's charming, strategic, and surprisingly easy to get lost in. I originally planned to play for a little while before going to bed.

That was a lie.

8.5/10 — now excuse me, I have a timeline to fix and absolutely no idea what I'm doing.
